Diversity Dimensions is pleased to announce the 2017 series of “Preparing for and Returning from Parental Leave” seminars and webinars.

Seminars and webinars are designed to assist working parents who are either pregnant or in the early stages of planning to return to work following the birth of a child.

Family ready to return to work after parental leave

How are the seminars and webinars structured?

Seminars are face-to-face to create an interactive environment with group discussion, brainstorming, Q&A and modified content.

• Seminars run for 7.5 hours over the course of one day.
• Start 9.00am and finish 4.30pm — lunch and tea breaks included.
• Held in every Australian capital city — located in each CBD.
• Each seminar has a maximum of 15 participants.

Webinars are broken into 2 sessions run over 2 days. We use Redback Conferencing which is an interactive web streaming platform.

• Webinars consist of two sessions: Module 1 and Module 2.
• Sessions are typically run over two days — each session lasting 1.5 hours.
• Each webinar has a maximum of 10 participants

All sessions provide practical information and tools to assist you in the development of child, personal and career strategies.


What areas do seminars and webinars cover?

Transitioning Back to Work

Aimed at working parents who are in the early stages of preparing to return to work or have just returned from parental leave and are combining work and family with a young child.

The session provides working parents with knowledge of the common challenges and emotions that may be experienced prior to and following the return from parental leave and strategies to assist in better managing these issues.

What does the seminar cover?

• Strategies for managing common career and life experiences
• Personal illness action plans
• Communication strategies for managing common personal and career challenges

I’m Back

Aimed at working parents who have recently returned to work form parental leave and are now combining work and family with young children.

This session is interactive and provides working parents with knowledge of the common challenges and emotions that may be experienced prior to following the return form parental leave and strategies to assist in better managing these issues with their manager.

What does the seminar cover?

• Strategies to assist in re-launching your career and goals following a return from parental leave
• Develop a personal strategy to effectively communicate career goals with our manager and team.
