Planning for a better retirement

RAC provides motoring services and advice, insurance, travel services, finance and exclusive benefits for its 850,559 members across Western Australia, employing over 1400 staff.

RAC has a high representation of mature aged employees within their Motoring Roadside Patrol workforce.  RAC recognised the need to proactively manage the retirement process for these valued employees.

Diversity Dimensions were engaged to help the RAC;

  1. Maintain performance by planning for changes to its aging workforce.
  2. Implement a program to support employees manage the financial and social aspects of leaving paid employment.
  3. Embed transition to retirement as a key component of the RAC’s overall career management strategy for all employees.
  4. Encourage employees to commence planning well in advance of an anticipated retirement date
